Town, Toews, Denbow

Tommy Town shows teammates Ron Toews and Jack Denbow his batting form.

Denbow, in the process of being walked intentionally, reached out to poke the game-winning hit as Brandon topped St. Lazare 5-4 with a run in the bottom of the 9th inning.  It was the Cloverleafs first win in the playoff series.  (Brandon Sun photo)

Local baseball continued to be big news on the prairies into the 1960s.  Above - The Brandon Sun took up about half a page with its story and photos on the All-Star selections.  Brandon Sun, July 21, 1964
