Lacombe 1964     Cottingham, Ford & Kids

Left - A rhubarb broke out early in the 16th Annual  Lacombe Lions Baseball Tournament.  There was confusion after a North Battleford batter belted a long fly to left field.  The ball was bobbled, but the hitter was called out with a runner caught between first and second not knowing which way to go. Arguments ensued with the result that the umps called both the runner and hitter out.  That's Larry Derksen of the Beavers in the centre of the photo.

Right - Sherman Cottingham and John Ford of the North Battleford Beavers with a surprise visit to the Alexander Playground previous to the official opening of the facility.  That's Recreation Director Pete Fanning in the background.
