Ballpark Figures
2005 - Player Analysis provides analysis of all players expected to play
in the majors in '05. Pitcher projections include IP, BB, K, HR, xERA, W,
Sv, and "player value". Hitter projections include AB, BB, K, HR, RBI, SB, BA,
OBA, SLG, OPS, "player value", defensive rating, 2004 games played by position.
The player value concept makes it possible to accurately compare pitchers with
position players and compare players across positions. The publication
includes the logic behind the projections, "park adjustment factors" for ERA and
OPS, Top 100 players for 2005, and Top Rookies.
Ballpark Figures
2005 - Inside the Numbers features a Pitcher Abuse Analysis -
which includes all starting pitchers with significant IP over the past 20 years.
There's also All-Time rankings for players, by position, using "career values",
updated to include the 2004 season. Rankings include the top 75 catchers, 1B,
2B, 3B, SS, top 250 OF, and top 300 pitchers. Also of note, the top 500 overall
and career projections for active players for wins, hits, HR, and RBI. Leader
boards for 1992 to 2004 for BA, OBA, SLG, OPS, hits, HR, RBI, and wins.
