The Scoresheet Internet Combined Online (SICO) League rolls into its 28th season.
SICO began with 18 teams in 1997, expanding to 20 teams two years later and adding another two teams for the 2010 season.
Owners are permitted to protect up to 13 regulars (plus 5 rookies) with an on-line draft held in February and March.
George Tsuji's Prognosis Negative was the class of the loop in 2021 racking up 106 regular season wins before charging through the playoffs with wins over Erwin Hunke and John Campbell to walk off with the championship.
Again it was Tsuji in 2022, this time with a playoff victory over Gary Tater.
In 2023, Prognosis Negative tied Tater for the most championships (7) in a tight battle with James Loo's Burlington Blue Beetles. Tsuji captured the pennant (104 wins to 100 for Loo) and added the league title in a one-run, seventh game in the final.
Can this be true? Erwin Hunke's Lost Tribe, averaging a league-leading 87.3 wins over 27 seasons has but ONE championship?
