For the second consecutive day there was trouble on the field. The game was forfeited to Medicine Hat in the 11th inning after Lethbridge delayed the game long enough for darkness to force an end to the contest. The Hatters had a runner on third with none out. The umpire awarded the contest to Medicine Hat. As he was leaving the field, Miners' pitcher Ed Kippert hit umpire Knowlton with the ball. He was arrested and fined $25 and costs. Egan was fined $25 and costs the previous day for striking the same umpire.

Edmonton outfielder Grimes suffered a serious shoulder injury. The mishap occured in the first inning when he tried to slide into second base. It's believed Grimes broke his shoulder bone. He may be lost for weeks, perhaps the rest of the season.
Calgary announced the acquisition of two more players - Kid Kinnear who played with Calgary last season and has been pitching with Everett of the Northwest League. Janas, the other newcomer, is expected in the lineup for the next game.

In a battle between the champions of the Western Canada League and the Northern Copper Country League, Medicine Hat overcame a 3-0 deficit to shade Winnipeg Maroons 4-3 at Winnipeg. Ralph Works held the Maroons to eight hits in hurling the victory while Jack Bushelman allowed just six hits while whiffing 12 in taking the loss. Catcher Jack Benny, the Hatters' playing manager, went three-for-three with a double to lead all batters. The Alberta club notched the winner in the 8th inning when Gus Zurlage drew a free pass advanced to third on a sacrifice and scored on a fielder's choice.

Winnipeg took the second game 3-2 as Ed Giencke tossed a five-hitter and Ralph Terry belted a third inning homer. Maroons had eight hits off loser George Hollis with catcher Voss leading the way with three safeties. The game was called after eight innings to allow several players to catch a train.
