No names available. Humboldt, champions of the Quill Plains League
(August 22) Humboldt repeated as champions of the Quill Plains League with a 6-4 victory over Watson in what was described as one of the best games ever seen in Humboldt.
The home side opened with a bang as Henderson, the Humboldt centre fielder slugged a double with the bases loaded to put the host team ahead 3-0. Watson battled back to claim a 4-3 lead in the fifth inning. However, in the sixth, Humboldt added another three and it held up for the win.
Aronson was the winning pitcher for Humboldt. Ferguson took the loss. The final drew a large crowd as Humboldt took a holiday and a large contingent of fans came from Watson.
