This photo of the 1920 Port Haney club has produced some confusion as the original listing for the photo claimed famous major leaguer Ty Cobb was in the picture (ostensibly, the guy in the middle with the fashionable hat). However a comparison of this photo with those of the real Ty Cobb by an expert in the field found no basis for the claim. Mark Fimoff's analysis is here. The guy in the middle is NOT Ty Cobb. In addition, the team had a catcher named Cobb (first name unknown). The probable lineup :
Left to right – Jack Fuller SS, Frank Burnett OF, Charlie Owen 3B, Ted Robinson OF, Cliff Mosher MGR, Charlie Dauphin Asst. MGR, Cobb, Nip Ogilvie OF, Nick Williams OF, Maynard Fookes P, Wally Douglas 1B. Front - Earl Biggs Mascot. Missing - Griff Jones
