Joe also led in triples with seven while Jack Leachman, Peck O'Donnell and Arthur Abbott had six apiece. Ayres led in doubles, with nine, one ahead of Ray Watkins. Talbot led in total bases, 44, and Forsythe had 43. Forsythe and Talbot finished one-two in hits with the batting champ getting 36 and the CPR catcher netting 35. Jack Leachman had the most at bats, 108, 11 more than Mel Kerr of the Fifth, who had 97. Watkins and Wally Taylor, both of the CNR, scored the most runs, each with 25.

In the closest and most exciting batting race ever by Wesley Park baseballers, Ward McVey of the Tammany Tigers finished strong to edge defending batting champ Jim McCullough of the Transconas by a single point - .342 to .341. Eddie Cass, the Clubbers' first baseman was fifth with a .327 average and led the league in runs, hits and total bases. McCullough was tops in stolen bases, with 14.
Dunc Irvine of the Arenas topped the hurlers with a 1.60 ERA and 4-1 record for an .800 winning percentage. Most of the published averages were out by a few percentage points from those derived
from the actual hits & at bats noted. The largest differences were for Wishart, Savoie
and Trender who were shown with averages five to seven points below what they should
have had with the at bats and hits shown. The newspaper item showed Keedian with 79 total bases which would have been impossible even if all his 19 hits had been home runs. We
assume a typo, should have been 29.
