SASKATOON CITY LEAGUE

Veteran campaigner Maurice Leonard "Bunny" Clouston socked old Spalding at a .413 clip this season to capture the batting title in the Saskatoon City League.  The Elks playing-manager piloted the Elks to their first pennant. Clouston notched hits in 17 of his 20 games to top Webb Bird, the 1925 champion, by 50 points. Ted Graham of the North Stars, who finished with an impressive .412 mark, was deemed not to have played enough games to qualify for the batting crown.  Roy Forsythe of the railway nine came third with a .330 average. Forsythe was the league's top slugger, finishing one behind the leader in doubles, tied for the lead in triples and home runs. He also tied for the lead in stolen bases.

Merril Falby of the Elks was the league's top hurler winning eight of nine decisions. Teammate Frank Lyle was second in wins, with six, and compiled the most strikeouts, 92. Ossie Jones of the CNR appeared in the most games, 13.
