In one of the more unusual baseball team photos, the 1927 Regina Argos pose in the Saskatchewan Legislature. This was the year of the Diamond Jubilee of the founding of the Confederation of Canada (1867). The photo was an attempt to copy the photo of the 1867 gathering of the founding members of the Confederation. Saskatchewan Premier James G. Gardiner is seen standing in the middle of the photo with Attorney-General J.A. Cross seated beside him. The players were not identifed. The Argos, under the supervision of Father Murray were to begin a Jubilee trip to Montreal, making stops at every significant city along the way.
