The Can-Am Clowns were a team organized out of .Muscatine, Iowa by veteran minor leaguer Jack Hruska and toured extensive in the US and Canada.

Hap Watson, described in the papers as the "rotund prince of fun makers" was a coach and pitcher for the Toronto Oslers who toured extensively and used Watson as their prime entertainer. He took on the role for the Clowns.(Watson was also the arena announcer for the Toronto Maple Leafs of the National Hockey League.) The disgraced former major leaguer Hap Felsch started out with the Clowns but early in June returned to Virden, Manitoba, for a second season with the club.
