VANCOUVER SENIOR CITY LEAGUE
With a sensational, six-for-six, finish, Jimmy Waters of the Firemen grabbed the batting title in the Vancouver Senior City League topping former champion Jack Cranstoun of the Arrows by a mere three points, .355 to .352. Charlie Miron of the Fireman, who led for most of the season, finished third, at .342, and led the league in home runs, 5, and total bases, 39. Earl Lewis of VAC had the most doubles, 10, and Abe Cross of the Firemen was best in triples, with four. Peggy Duff, also of the Fireman, led in stolen bases, with 18.
Lewis was the top hurler, finishing with a perfect 5-0 mark.

VICTORIA SENIOR AMATEUR BASEBALL LEAGUE
Tommy Bowden, catcher for the Victoria Elks, has captured the batting championship of the Victoria Senior Amateur Baseball League. Bowden finished the 18-game schedule with a .425 average easily topping Norm Fobres of the Elks who carried a .382 mark.
Billy Brousseau of the Eagles led in hits with 26 and Cliff Hilton of the Sons had the most runs, 23. Jack Bacon, catcher for the Sons of Canada, was the leading base stealer with 24 thefts to his credit.
In addition to leading the hitters, Bowden made just one error while tallying 71 putouts and eight assists.
