There were two main leagues in Vancouver in 1937, the Vancouver Senior League (Arnold & Quigley, Athletics, Asahis, United Distillers) and the Commercial League (Asahi, Grant Gunn, Lowney's, Merritt-Gordons, Patricias). Asahis started in the Senior loop but dropped out to play in the Commercial circuit and won the league title.
On the outskirts, the Dewdney League had four teams - Coquitlam, Hammond, Ioco and Mission.
