This Notre Dame team, composed almost entirely of junior-eligible students, was actually a member of the 1939 Southern League, a senior circuit. When it came time for provincial playoffs, this group of teenagers from Wilcox entered the Saskatchewan intermediate playdowns and came away with the 1939 title, downing the Saskatoon Outlaws in a sudden-death final in the Hub City.
