A catcher, Robinson joined the Buffaloes in 1950 for the first season of the ManDak League. He returned in 1951 and moved on to the Brandon Greys in 1952.
The Buffaloes, in 1950, had an all-Black lineup, including Percy Howard C, Willie Wells Jr. SS, Willie Wells Sr. MGR, John Kennedy 2B, Lomax "Butch" Davis LF, Ernest "Spoon" Carter P, Leon Day P/UT, Johnny Britton 3B, Samuel Hill CF, Jimmie Newberry P, Lyman Bostock 1B, Andy Porter P, Taylor Smith P and Joe Taylor OF.
