1954 Game Reports, Basin League

(April 19)   Dennis Blind, Purdue right-hander fired a no-hitter and fanned 19 as Purdue dropped Wabash 4-0 in the second game of the double-header.  Six of the strikeouts came in succession.  Two walks, and error and an interference call on the catcher enabled the only four Wabash players to reach base.  Blind would go on to play summer ball with the Mitchell Kernels of the Basin League.

(June)  Andy Swota pitched Huron to its 14-inning, 2-1 opening day victory. Freddie Hoeft's double knocked in the winning run.
