Kelly-Douglas (Wholesale League) defeated B. C. Telephones (Commercial League) in a sudden-death playoff for the 1913 Vancouver senior amateur baseball championship

(August 23)   Kelly-Dougas qualified for the Vancouver final playoff Saturday downing the Kitsilano Methodists 9 to 5.

(August 30)   The Kelly-Douglas Nabobs quickly ended any suspense over the Vancouver city baseball championship. A six-run splurge in the second inning pretty well put the game on ice. But for good measure they tagged on a run in the third, another in the fourth, three in the fifth, one more in the sixth and seven in the seventh and final frame. In all, a 19-6 lambasting of the BC Telephone nine in the playoff final Saturday afternoon. Robinson went the route on the hill for the winners.

Victoria City League   

(August 23) St. Francis Club has won the championship of the Victoria City League. Red Sox defeated the Hills Saturday night. Manager George Sedney accepted the trophy after St. Francis won 7-2 for their fourth straight win after losing the opening game of the season. Hills had won the trophy in 1911 and 1912.
